Connect mailbox

Connect Microsoft 365 or Gmail via OAuth. HeyOtto reads and sorts your email and prepares drafts — you do the sending.

How it works

HeyOtto connects via secure OAuth — we never store your password. The requested permissions are Mail.ReadWrite (read + create drafts), never Mail.Send.

Microsoft 365 / Outlook

  1. Open in the app Integrations (or the setup checklist) and click Connect Microsoft 365.
  2. You'll be redirected to the Microsoft sign-in page. Sign in and give consent.
  3. You'll return to HeyOtto; within one to two minutes your recent email appears, neatly sorted.

Gmail / Google Workspace

  1. Click Connect Gmail under Integrations.
  2. Sign in with your Google account and grant consent for the requested scope.
  3. HeyOtto imports your recent mail and starts sorting.

Gmail requires the connection to be configured for your company. If the button isn't there, add your own Google app via Connect your own app.

Status & reconnect

At the top Integrations you'll see the connected mailbox with sync status. You can always Reconnect if you change access.

Common errors

  • Nothing comes in: the first sync may take a moment. Check that the connection shows "connected".
  • Consent denied: your admin may need to approve the app first (admin consent).
