Connections
A connection says that everything coming in through a certain route belongs to one company or project — so information never gets mixed up.
Why not just the domain?
A client sometimes mails from Gmail, a project runs through a shared mailbox, a case has its own reference. An email domain isn't enough then.
Types of connections
- Mailbox: all mail from a (shared) mailbox
- Email address: all mail from one sender
- Subject contains: for example a case number
- Teams channel: messages from one chat or channel
- Meeting contains: meetings with this word in the title
- Work tool project: for example the Jira key ACME
How to set them up
Open the card of a company or project, tab Info and notes, and add a connection under Connections. A connection always takes precedence over the domain; an automatic link to another company then disappears.
